An intervention is a response to a particular place, made in that place.
It might repair something, add something, alter something, mark something, arrange something, reveal something, clean something, replace something, paint something, or simply change the way a place is encountered.
You are not being asked to illustrate a place. You are being asked to enter into a relationship with one.
What matters is that the work responds to the place itself, not simply as an idea, image, or object made somewhere else. There are no firm rules about medium, scale, permanence, or number of interventions.
Spend a little time noticing. Look for something overlooked, unfinished, damaged, awkward, empty, hidden, excessive, forgotten, or simply asking for attention. Decide what the place seems to want from you.
Use judgment. Get permission where appropriate. Do not damage property, create hazards, or put yourself or others at risk.
