We create exhibitions, artist challenges, gatherings, and other opportunities for people to make, encounter, and collect art.

Bull Thistle began with a physical gallery, but the project is increasingly interested in what a gallery can be beyond a single room: through temporary exhibitions, collaborations, distributed installations, online projects, and new places to gather around art.

Much of what happens here is intentionally experimental. Some projects are exhibitions. Some are challenges. Some are invitations to make something, try something, or see familiar places differently.

Bull Thistle works primarily with artists from Owego and the surrounding region while remaining open to wherever the work leads.
