Light Over the Susquehanna — Summit Challenge No. 3 Exhibition Booklet

$9.00 - $19.00

Light Over the Susquehanna documents Bull Thistle Summit Challenge No. 3, a regional exhibition exploring light, water, infrastructure, and memory along the Susquehanna River and its tributaries.

This saddle-stitched 24-page, 5.5 × 8.5 in exhibition booklet includes all 22 submitted and exhibited works by artists working across Tioga, Broome, and Chenango counties in New York, and Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, tracing the river from Binghamton, Endicott, and Owego through Barton, Sayre, and the surrounding valley. The exhibited works span painting, photography, mixed media, printmaking, and hand-crafted processes, offering a layered portrait of the river as place, passage, and witness.

Participating artists from Tioga County include Mia Amendola, Patty Birchard, Michelle Cady, Chrissy Capriglione, Heather Esposito, Alice Mischke, Abbey Ortu, Kyle Roberts, Emily G. Squires, Alex Taylor, Jenn McElwain-Whitmore, Emily Welch, E. W. Yetter, and Carrie Dru Tornatore, representing Owego, Barton, Newark Valley, Nichols, Candor, and Apalachin.
Artists from Broome County include Dillon Utter, Mike Krause, MOSH, Chelsea Hagin, Suzanne Wirth, and Gabe Morton-Cook, working in Endicott, Castle Creek, Johnson City, and Binghamton.
Additional contributors include Sarah Williams (Norwich, Chenango County, NY) and Sheamus Burns (Susquehanna County, PA), reflecting the river’s reach beyond state and county lines.

Printed for the December 2025 exhibition at Bull Thistle Art Studio & Gallery in Owego, New York, this publication serves as both a record of the exhibition and a collectible artifact from the ongoing Bull Thistle Summit Challenge series.
