Gary Wilson is a cult musician from Endicott, New York, known for his strange, theatrical performances and deeply personal recordings. Growing up just across the street from where I live now, his story feels both local and mythic; an artist who built his own world from a small town. This painting reflects that sense of place and legend, capturing not just a portrait, but the idea of someone who turned Endicott into something larger than itself.
