Challenge No. 9: Claim a Panel and join the exhibition!

Seventeen artists have already claimed their Challenge Panels. Seven remain.

Summit Challenge No. 9 invites twenty-four artists to work within a shared format and respond to a single exhibition theme. Each participant receives the same hand-crafted and prepared 4 x 6 panel and the same sealed prompt, creating an exhibition that explores how different artists approach the same constraints.

Your challenge includes:

• One numbered Bull Thistle Cabinet Card (the challenge panel)

• One sealed envelope containing the exhibition theme

• One instruction card with exhibition details and guidelines

For this exhibition, all twenty-four artists will create work on, from, or with the official challenge panel. Finished pieces will become part of a custom cabinet installation built specifically for the September exhibition.

Guidelines

• The panel must remain in portrait orientation.

• Work may be created on either the gessoed or raw hardboard side.

• No framing is necessary.

• Dimensional and experimental approaches are welcome, though substantial extensions beyond the panel should be discussed in advance.

• One Cabinet Card per artist.
