Bull Thistle Printworks launches its first Saturday morning studio session with an introduction to linocut printmaking.

In this small, hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basic process of relief printmaking: designing an image, carving it into a linoleum block, inking the surface, and pulling prints by hand.

This session is designed for complete beginners as well as curious artists who want to try printmaking for the first time. By the end of the morning, each participant will have carved their own small printing block and produced several original prints to take home.

All materials are provided.

Participants will learn:

• How linocut relief printing works
• How to safely carve a linoleum block
• Inking and printing techniques
• How to pull multiple prints from a single carved image

Because this is a studio-based session, space is intentionally limited to keep the experience relaxed and personal.
